Soft Focus Bouquet

Applied a soft focus to the bouquet and unmasked the rose area to draw the eye to the flower. Posted by Picasa

Soft Focus Rose

This picture was edited in photoshop, applied a greyscale filter, then blurred the surrounding area of the rose and finally unmasked the colour of the rose just slightly. Posted by Picasa

Macro First Attempt

Macro photography, first attempt. Went and bought some flowers. Impatient as I am I took this one whilst they were still in the cellophane wrapper which proved a good background when blurred.

This shot was taken without a tripod but resting fairly securely on the kitchen work surface.

Macro Rose Trio

These three rose heads were separated from the rest of the bunch (rebels!) and I managed to shoot them before they escaped! Posted by Picasa

Macro Rose Bud

I removed the stalk from this rose bud to allow it to sit on the background. The picture was taken without tripod, but luckily for me with Optical Image Stabalisation! Posted by Picasa

Macro Bunch

Arranged a bouquet on a white sheet and fiddled with the flowers so that thhe white rose was centre. Posted by Picasa

Macro Daisy

Focused on one of the large red daisies in the bunch of flowers. Posted by Picasa

Macro Rose II

Singled a rose out from the rest of the bunch of flowers and arranged with some of the foliage. Taken from about 12cm. Posted by Picasa

Macro Rose

Close up shot of a rose. Taken in the conservatory whilst the flowers were placed on the floor on a white sheet, supported by a bowl. Posted by Picasa

Macro Shots

Satsumas in a bowl. Taken in the daylight on a blank white sheet in a black bowl. The filtered light gave a rather nice blue tint to everything. Posted by Picasa

The Girls in Aberystwyth

Posted by Picasa

Above taken with Kodak Easyshare 2.0 megapixels camera and then edited using Adobe Photoshop CS by adding a radial blur then adding a layermask and painting out the body and the top of the cliffs in the distance.

Above picture taken in Summer of 2004. My eldest daughter and I on the sea front in Aberystwyth enjoying an ice cream.
