Soft Focus Bouquet

Applied a soft focus to the bouquet and unmasked the rose area to draw the eye to the flower. Posted by Picasa

Soft Focus Rose

This picture was edited in photoshop, applied a greyscale filter, then blurred the surrounding area of the rose and finally unmasked the colour of the rose just slightly. Posted by Picasa

Macro First Attempt

Macro photography, first attempt. Went and bought some flowers. Impatient as I am I took this one whilst they were still in the cellophane wrapper which proved a good background when blurred.

This shot was taken without a tripod but resting fairly securely on the kitchen work surface.

Macro Rose Trio

These three rose heads were separated from the rest of the bunch (rebels!) and I managed to shoot them before they escaped! Posted by Picasa

Macro Rose Bud

I removed the stalk from this rose bud to allow it to sit on the background. The picture was taken without tripod, but luckily for me with Optical Image Stabalisation! Posted by Picasa

Macro Shots

Satsumas in a bowl. Taken in the daylight on a blank white sheet in a black bowl. The filtered light gave a rather nice blue tint to everything. Posted by Picasa
